Altgate: Scientists Find Positive Correlation Between Wealth and Rudeness

  • John · 10 months ago
Spend a weekend in East Hampton in August/July and their finding will be as clear as day. Don't need no stinkin Stanford scientists to figure that one out. As an aside, I've met several VCs they appeared pretty nice.

That photograph is awesome! Surprised the kid isn't English, given the hooliganism here.

First of all, I agree with the conclusion of the article. Rude people will get richer because they are more likely make other people to serve their interests. However, the methodology is just plain BS: it confuses correlation with causation. Just because rich people are rude it does not mean that being rude made them rich. Maybe they became rude because they became rich? I still think that the conclusion has merits but this research is just BS. What were they thinking at Berkeley?

    Hilarious.
This is quite a surprising finding,
but I can't imagine the same correlation for Happiness & Rudeness.
    Are top VCs rude?
