John · 1 year agoContradicts what I read or heard in the past that said the front is the safest since pilots instinctively try to protect themselves when crashing, although in many instances this is likely not possible.

edaciuk · 1 year agoOn the one hand this seems intuitive since I would think most crashes would be nose down. On the other hand most airplane disaster movies I've seen have that part where the back of the plane gets ripped off and some poor guy (usually the annoying guy who harassed the flight attendant) flies out the back still strapped to his seat. Hmm...

Andrew · 7 months agohonestly it doesnt matter where you sit..most likely if you're in a commercial airplane and you go down, if the jet fuel ignites you're all dead! Sorry not to scare anyone
